Baduria Municipality

     Baduria Municipality is one of the oldest Municipality Estd. on 01st April in the year 1869 before the freedom of India. At the time of British Period the Municipality was one of the shelter for them i.e Punra Fari to control the administration of the undivided India.

     At present our municipality situated by four detached ward i.e 1,2,3,4,5,17 and 6,7,8 and 9,10,16 and 11,12,13,14,15 and also divided by river Ichhyamati and a lot of Panchayat Lands situated within this municipal area who are getting the facilities of municipal services automatically.

     The Baduria Municipality is a rural based Municipality. Most of the inhabitances belongs to the poverty level and minority communities. Their daily life spend by rikshaw pulling, daily labour for cultivation of other owners land, mat making etc.
